Description
The first blueprint for the Raichl rental palace was ready in 1903 together with the plans of the dwelling house, which was refused by the city’s authorities. Then, Ferenc Raichl changed the plans, and in the following year, the palaces was built. One floor rental building for the Raichl Ferenc Architect and owner: Raichl J. Ferenc. The street facade is designed under the influence of Vienna Secession, but with Hungarian folk motifs. The style is Hungarian Art Nouveau (Secession). The asymmetry of the building is emphasized by the corner avant-corps which is finished in a decorative tower. The building has batter with a Art Noveau-shape gable. The socle is made of rose marble from Siklós. There were various outlets on the ground floor, and flats to let on the upper one. Currently, it is an office building, the bank. The building is a listed one in the city centre under particular protection from the aspect of its local historic significance.
